Five Fortune 500 companies fired Fred Gleeck five times in a row. While that's a mouthful, it was also a painful experience for the man. However, Fred Gleeck used these firings as prompts to enter the world of self-employment. Today he is an innovative internet marketer, and a lesson in how one can overcome disappointment to achieve great success.
Fred grew up in the Philippines and attended high school in Manila. He has the distinction of being a Junior Amateur Golf Champion while there. From there he went to the United States and attended the University of Florida. While there, he studied and acquired his degree in Marketing and Psychology. Further to that, he also obtained a Masters Degree in International Business.
The turning point in his life was the recognition that he should get into the consulting field. In 1984, he attended a seminar run By Howard Shenson that dealt with owning and running your own consulting business. Fred decided this would be the perfect avenue for his business venture, with a twist. He would run seminars on 'starting a consulting business' and other business topics. He felt being a seminar host would allow him to combine his two great loves – theater and business. He would be 'on stage' presenting 'business information'. It would be a great use of all the business knowledge gained from his advanced schooling.
Today, Fred is a sought after internet marketing professional, speaker, coach, consultant, author, and teacher. He has worn all these hats for the past fifteen years. For the past ten years, he has sold upwards of ten million dollars of his own and others' information products. These products have helped numerous internet marketers develop their own businesses.
From his first seminar entitled "Starting and Building Your Own Consulting Business" to his work "The Consultant's Manual" Fred has kept busy. He writes books, and audio and video programs devoted to helping people become better seminar specialists. He has information products, which help those who want to earn a living as professional speakers. He even offers vital information on how to run an efficient, profitable, and growing catering business. All of this while still promoting his techniques for starting, maintaining, and marketing your consultancy business effectively.
Fred's effectiveness is in his ability to distill large amounts of complicated information down to its essence. He gives those who seek to learn his methods information that is easy to understand.
Today, he arranges seminars and is a frequent speaker at seminars run by others. He is in demand for his unique system of presenting seminars. Not bad for a guy who ran his first 'open to the public' seminar way back in 1984 as a neophyte in the seminar business.
